Chef Preeti Mistry wears their Indian heritage and its influence on their cooking, as a badge of honor and a very personal journey. Mistry’s cookbook is a direct reflection of this and inspired by their time as Executive Chef of Juhu Beach Club, once operating in Oakland, CA. They have always had a mission to spread awareness for inequality in fine dining, but recently, this chef-turned-farm intern, during the pandemic, became a mentor for underrepresented communities in the food industry while empowering women, people of color, LGBTQ+, and other minorities.
