Alec Lichtenstein
Director of Dining Services
Alec has spent the past 10 years working in country clubs, and studied Business and Mass Communications at Virginia Commonwealth University before transferring to Stratford University to pursue his passion for culinary arts.
MG’s Core Value “Prepare with Care, Present with Style is a philosophy that has guided Alec’s approach throughout his career. With a strong emphasis on presentation and a commitment to using high-quality ingredients, Alec strives to create memorable dining experiences that are as visually appealing as they are flavorful.
As Director, Alec aims to continue bringing balance and positivity to the workplace, creating an uplifting and productive environment. When Alec isn’t spending time with his family, you’ll find him exploring the parks around Richmond or unwinding with a good video game.
Surya Clemons
Executive Chef
Surya brings more than 23 years of culinary leadership experience, with expertise in menu development, kitchen operations, and food safety. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for delivering high-quality dining experiences while maintaining efficient operations and a strong commitment to excellence.
Surya most closely identifies with MG’s Core Value, “Sweat All the Details.” He believes that exceptional hospitality is achieved through careful planning, consistency, and attention to every aspect of the dining experience.
Surya enjoys supporting the arts, community service initiatives, and youth sports, and is an avid wrestling fan. He is also committed to sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of culinary professionals, helping aspiring chefs build the skills and confidence to succeed.
Long Nghiem
District Manager
Long’s passion for food and serving others started at an early age working in his family’s restaurants. A graduate of Virginia Tech’s Hospitality Program, Long was the chef operator of his own restaurants for many years before moving to contract dining. Long has leveraged his diverse experience to hone his culinary talents as well as his own unique leadership style. His commitment to excellence and tireless drive is a perfect fit for supporting our clients and our values.
