Serves 6

Churro Bites Ingredients:
½ cup water
½ cup milk
½ cup butter
1 tbsp honey
¼ tsp salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
3 eggs
1 cup butter, melted
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp ground cinnamon

Chocolate Sauce Ingredients:
2 cups half & half
2 tsp cornstarch
8 oz semisweet chocolate chips
1 tsp cayenne pepper
¼ tsp salt
¼ cup unsalted butter

Churro Bites Procedure:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F degrees.
2. In a saucepan, bring water, milk, butter, honey, & salt to a boil while whisking.
3. Reduce heat to low & stir in flour.
4. Continue to stir on low heat until a ball begins to form.
5. Remove from heat & stir in eggs, fully incorporating one at a time.
6. Continue to beat the dough until smooth.
7. Prepare a piping bag with a star tip & fill with dough.
8. Pipe dough into 1-2″ pieces on a parchment-lined baking sheet. 9. Bake for 20-25 min.
10. Meanwhile, mix sugar & cinnamon in a bowl. 11. Brush melted butter on onto cooked churro bites & coat with cinnamon sugar mixture.

Chocolate Sauce Procedure
1. Heat 1 cup of half & half in a small saucepan until barely simmering.
2. In a separate bowl whisk remaining cup of half & half with the cornstarch; add to the heated cream while whisking.
3. Add chocolate chips, cayenne pepper & salt. Simmer for 4 min.
4. Remove from heat & stir in butter to incorporate. Serve for dipping or drizzling on churro bites.

Note:
*Can make gluten-free by substituting gluten-free flour for regular flour.
