Renu Thanikachalam was raised in South India, where her appreciation for the region’s rich culinary traditions was nurtured, sparking a lifelong passion for food.

“I developed a keen awareness of the subtle differences in taste and the fascinating cooking approaches that brought out such unique flavors.”

After moving to the U.S. 14 years ago, she followed her heart to culinary school, earning degrees in Culinary Arts and Management. Renu has successfully blended precision and creativity in the kitchen, turning her lifelong appreciation for food into a fulfilling career.

Renu shared that Masala Dosa is a recipe that holds deep cultural significance for her. Masala Dosa is a beloved South Indian specialty, a crispy crepe made from fermented rice and lentils and filled with a warmly spiced mashed potato mixture.
