Meet Cholin Dela Cruz! For 27 years, Cholin has been a dedicated and familiar face in the Northfield Mount Hermon community. When asked what she loves most about her role, Cholin doesn’t hesitate in saying “Working and serving the community.”
Cholin believes in the powerful connection between food and memory. “Everyone has a story of their favorite meal, and with it comes certain memories that can be shared with all generations. I have found that food is a universal language that people from all walks of life and backgrounds can enjoy and celebrate.”
Her favorite culturally significant recipe is fresh spring rolls, a dish that reflects both traditional, fresh, and vibrant flavors. Her favorite filling combination is lettuce, Asian basil, cilantro, carrots, peppers, and rice noodles, all wrapped delicately and served with a rich peanut sauce.
